Ingredients:
– 2 cups flour
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1 egg
– 1/4 cup vegetable oil
– 1-1/2 cups milk
– 1 can (14 oz) cherries, undrained
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Add egg, oil, and milk and mix well. Stir in cherries.
- Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool cakes in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove cakes from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
