Super easy homemade feta cheese recipe


Homemade cheese is a delicious and easy way to add a homemade twist to your cheese board. Here is a recipe for homemade cheese:


Ingredients:


– 1 cup whole milk

– 2 tablespoons lemon juice

– 1/4 cup vinegar or lemon juice (optional)

– 4 tablespoons non-fat dry milk powder

– 3/4 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon rennet powder


Instructions:


1. In a large pot, combine the milk, lemon juice, vinegar, non-fat milk powder, salt, and rennet powder.

2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly until it begins to curdle.

3. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the mixture curdle for 10-15 minutes.

4. Remove the lid and continue cooking the mixture for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is firm and no longer curds.

5. Remove the pot from the heat and let the cheese cool completely.

6. Place the cheese in a container and cover with plastic wrap. Let the cheese rest at room temperature for at least 24 hours before serving.
